This renovation project in Vasundhara, Ghaziabad focused on transforming a 15-year-old living and dining area with premium Italian marble flooring and wall cladding.
The homeowner had existing vitrified tile flooring that looked dated and had developed cracks in several places. Rather than a patch job, they decided to invest in a complete flooring upgrade using imported Italian Statuario marble.
We sourced the marble directly from our trusted importers in Kishangarh, Rajasthan — a hub for Italian marble in India. The slabs were hand-selected by our team to ensure consistent veining and minimal colour variation across the 450 square feet floor area.
The flooring was laid in a seamless pattern with minimal joints, using white epoxy grout for a clean, continuous look. The slab edges were machine-cut and mirror-polished on site for a flawless finish.
The highlight of this project is the book-matched marble wall cladding behind the sofa seating area. Two consecutive slabs were opened like a book to create a symmetrical vein pattern, creating a dramatic focal point that looks like a work of art.
The existing skirting was replaced with matching marble skirting cut to 4 inches height. The threshold transitions to the bedrooms were finished with brass inlay strips for a luxurious detail.
All civil preparation work — including floor levelling, waterproof membrane application, and old tile removal — was handled by our masonry team. The marble installation was completed by specialised marble workers with over 20 years of experience.
Final diamond polishing and crystallization treatment gives the marble a deep, mirror-like shine while also providing a protective layer against staining. We recommend annual re-polishing to maintain the finish.
The complete renovation was done in 18 days with minimal disruption to the family who continued living in the other rooms during the work.
