This renovation project in Ahinsa Khand, Indirapuram involved a complete overhaul of two bathrooms in a 12-year-old apartment. The existing bathrooms had dated tiles, leaking fixtures, and cracked waterproofing that was causing dampness in adjacent walls.
The first step was complete demolition of existing tiles, fixtures, and false ceiling. Once stripped to the bare walls and slab, our waterproofing team applied a fresh three-layer Fosroc waterproof membrane — on the floor, up the walls to full height in the shower area, and to 3 feet height on remaining walls. This comprehensive waterproofing carries a 10-year warranty.
For the master bathroom, we selected large-format 600x1200mm porcelain tiles in a Statuario marble look. Using large tiles minimizes grout lines and creates a seamless, premium appearance. The shower area features the same tiles on the floor with anti-skid treatment and matching wall tiles to full height.
The common bathroom uses a combination of grey textured tiles on the floor and white subway tiles on the walls with dark grout for a classic contemporary look. An accent strip of mosaic tiles runs horizontally at eye level.
New sanitaryware includes wall-mounted WC units from Kohler for a clean, floating look that also makes floor cleaning easier. The wash basins are countertop-mounted on a custom vanity unit with storage below — one in white ceramic for the master and one in stone finish for the common bathroom.
Shower fittings include a thermostatic mixer with a rain shower head and hand shower in matte black finish from Jaquar. New concealed plumbing was installed to replace the old exposed piping.
Bathroom accessories — towel rails, robe hooks, soap dispensers, and toilet paper holders — are from the Jaquar Kubix Prime range in matching matte black.
Both bathrooms received new PVC ceiling panels in a white wood-grain finish with integrated LED panel lights and concealed exhaust fans. PVC was chosen for its complete moisture resistance and zero maintenance requirement.
The complete renovation of both bathrooms was finished in 22 days.
